Personal Profile...
I was born in 1964 in Denver, Colorado and have lived here ever since, despite urges to move to New York, then Southern California in my early 20's. Denver grew into a city I could be excited about. And Colorado offers so much natural beauty, why leave it behind?
I went into school for graphic design right out of high school, changing my plans to go to college for Musical Theater. I decided I'd rather be a starving artist than starving actor (and I'm not starving, yet).
People often ask if I'm a "real" artist. By this, I know they mean, "Do you paint?" The answer is yes! I particularly like to sketch, and paint in chalk pastels (see the link below for samples). Music is also a big part of my life. I sing soprano and am Director for a grassroots community choir called the Last Note Singers. I also play guitar, bass guitar and recordera bit! I've written several songs, and hope to write many more. I sang lead for a Rock & Roll band called JumpStreet that played bars around Denver (see the link below), from July 2000 to July 2009. And yes, I did their websites and logos, too.
Another question I get is "Why 'PONY' Design?" Well... I wanted to create a horse logo (I grew up around horses). PONY easy to spell and quick to read. And the "Unbridled Imagery" tagline appeals to my love of puns!
I hope this gives you some idea of who I amhopefully, we can work together and I can learn something about you!
